As part of the General Assembly of the Friends of Hergé, held on March 7th in Nivelles, at the Van der Valk hotel, a fascinating round table brought together Christian Mallet and Vincent Vanden Borre, moderated by Olivier Roche.

Christian Mallet presented the activity of his publishing house, focused on its works dedicated to merchandise, also known as CAC3D. He explained the approach behind this editorial work, which highlights a world often little known but essential for collectors and Hergé enthusiasts.

For his part, Vincent Vanden Borre detailed the various stages of creating an enamel plaque in his company, the well-known Émaillerie belge. His intervention provided insight into all the expertise, precision, and exacting standards required for the creation of these collector's items.

This meeting showed that merchandise items are not mere accessories: they extend a work, tell a story, and fuel the passion of collectors.
