2015 was an exciting year for cote-a-cas… projects kept coming and ideas took shape 💡
With three friends, Patrick Ciquera, Jean‑Luc Sala and Pascal Serres, we proposed to the Mandora association an ambitious concept: to create an event dedicated to science fiction and cinema enthusiasts 🎬🛸
No sooner said than done: the Mandora association launched the Bordeaux Geek Festival, and the event came to life 🎉
On this occasion, surrounded by my loyal “coters”—from the cote-a-cas.net forum and still present—we set up an exhibition of our most beautiful collector's items: 👉 ProderExpo (for derivative products on exhibition) 🧸✨
In 2015, still eager to showcase new talents, I invited a passionate designer to join us: Anaïs Taimiot, a member of the Pop Custom collective, a group that perfectly embodies this desire to support young creators in the pop culture universe 🎨🔥
In 2016, the exhibition came to life thanks to wonderful contributions:
🔹 Laurent Buob, with a superb Astro Boy signed by Leblon Delienne 🤖
🔹 Patrick Ciquera, creator of Pulp’s Bordeaux, who supported us by sponsoring the stand during the Fair 💪
🔹 The sculptor Samuel Boulesteix, whom I invited to create an original piece live: a Boba Fett skull in Walking Dead style 💀🪖
🔹 Mr Garcin, who also exhibited several of his works at ProderExpo 🖼️
A new way to bring cote-a-cas to life: from virtual to real, by bringing together collectors, artists, and enthusiasts ❤️
👉 ProderExpo was thus set up at the heart of the Bordeaux Geek Festival, itself integrated into the Bordeaux International Fair, for two consecutive years: 2015 with Pop Custom and 2016 with Pulp’s Bordeaux and the creator Mr Garcin🎪✨
🔜 The countdown continues… #D12
